Take a tour

The House is generally open on Saturdays from 11.00am until 2.00pm. We ask for a donation of $10 per person for this service.

If you would like to visit the House for an individual or small group tour outside these times please make an appointment by contacting us

In addition, we run group tours of the House during the annual Canberra and District Heritage Festival in March-April. These tours provide the opportunity to visit the heritage- listed house designed by leading modernist architect Robin Boyd in 1952, and to visit Manning Clark’s rooftop study where he wrote the six volumes of A History of Australia and other works.

The tours create an opportunity to understand and experience a fine example of mid-century Australian architecture and design.

3D virtual tour

With generous financial assistance from the Robin Boyd and Alastair Swayn Foundations we have created a 3D tour of the House that provides the opportunity to explore the house online, and to hear and see interviews with those associated with the Clark family, the house and its architecture.
