This month we feature three fabulous poets from the Yass Valley!
Published in anthologies and journals nationally, internationally and online, Robyn Sykes’ work draws on her fascination with nature, interest in human behaviour and love of the idiosyncratic. Her performance credits include featured poet at myriad festivals, NSW finalist in the Australian Poetry Slam, and Australian Champion Bush Poet.
Victoria has been published in Australian and US anthologies and journals including Best Australian Poems (twice), was nominated for the US Best of the Net Award, and short listed for the Newcastle Poetry Prize. She has appeared regularly as a featured poet at venues including Poetry at the Gods/House, Manning Clark House, the Snowy Rivers Writers Festival, and the Bundanoon Winter Festival.
Murphy writes between Binalong (NSW) and Canberra. She writes in a variety of styles from prose poetry to micro poetry and also works in art & text. She has published thirteen books. Her eight poetry titles include Shebird (Press Press) and Two Lips Went Shopping (Spinifex Press).
