David Richardson, (BEc, MEc) taught at the University of New England and University of Western Australia. He worked in the Research Service of the Parliamentary Library between1979-85 and 1996-2007. During the Hawke/Keating years (1983-1996).He worked for Ministers Brian Howe and Sen Nick Bolkus. David has been at The Australia Institute since 2008.
Melanie Fisher is a partner with Schumann & Fisher, a business providing leadership, knowledge and skills development for early career staff in the public and not for profit sectors. Prior to this, her last role was as the Executive Director of the Sir Roland Wilson Foundation, an innovative and very successful joint venture between the Australian Public Service and Australian National University focused on preparing top talent APS staff for future leadership positions.
During her career, Melanie has published papers, reports and analyses, book chapters in the areas of public policy, social psychology, natural resource management, and political science.
